Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations to optimize material and process performance and design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Analyse and interpret simulation results to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in CFD, FEA, and materials science to ensure our projects are at the cutting edge of technology.
- Contribute to the development of new materials and processes that enhance product performance and reliability.
- Development of new modelling tools for use by broader R&D team
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in CFD and FEA simulations, with a strong understanding of material properties and behaviour.
- Proficiency in simulation software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Use of coding languages such as Python to augment primary simulation software
