We are excited to present an opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Senior Category Buyer - Indirects at Victrex. This pivotal role is ideal for an individual with expertise in category management and procurement strategy, especially within the field of indirect purchasing.
Responsibilities of the Senior Category Buyer
- Develop and implement category strategies that align with business objectives for indirect procurement activities.
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure optimal terms and conditions.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders to ensure continuous performance improvement and innovation.
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Monitor industry trends and evaluate their impact on procurement strategy.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a senior procurement or category management role, ideally within the indirects category.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Strong communication and influencing skills in a cross-functional environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A CIPS qualification is advantageous.
- Significant experience in procurement or supply chain management.
