Quality Team Lead
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Quality Team Lead ensures that new and current products and processes comply with applicable quality management systems, standards, and regulations while meeting customer requirements and exceeding expectations. This is an on-site day shift role, with expectation to be at the Grantsburg WI facility, there are flexibility programs in place to support employee needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a quality control team member on cross-functional new product development teams.
- Develop inspection plans, acquire fixtures, and methods to achieve quality requirements and standards, document quality issues identified during development, and ensure best practices are implemented.
- Perform first article inspections, capability studies, Gage R&Rs, etc. Review data to ensure accuracy when submitting it to customers.
- Calibrating quality control measuring equipment and monitoring calibration system.
- Experience in Microsoft 365 applications, such as Outlook, MS Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Provide guidance and support in conducting root cause analyses, process optimizations, and quality control procedures.
- Mentor less experienced team members to drive personal and professional growth of the team, as well as support the day-to-day actions in the quality lab.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience programming and operating various inspection equipment including vision systems and CMMs
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of GD&T Principles and gage design and function.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communications skills; demonstrated ability to influence the behavior of peers and others outside the direct reporting line.
WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD
- Background in injection molding quality.
- Demonstrated capability with quality tools such as (PPAP, Control Plan, GR&R, PFMEA, SPC, etc.) is preferred.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, and quality tools such as Six Sigma Continuous Improvement methods.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
