Procurement Manager

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager, with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen to join our growing Procurement Team. Reporting to the Head of Procurement you will support global cross functional teams, with the scope to shape the work you do to support the delivery of business objectives.
More about the role
As Procurement Manager you will identify and define short, medium and long term procurement requirements for the procurement category in line with business strategy. You will lead contract negotiations, to drive value and mitigate commercial risk. Involve internal stakeholders to lead sourcing activity, evaluating, and onboarding of Suppliers.
Keeping abreast of market developments that impact the business and sourcing strategy, making recommendations that mitigate risks and support delivery of financial targets will be a key part of this role.
Your experience
To be successful in this role you will have extensive procurement experience gained within a multinational, corporate and regulated environment including a minimum 3 years experience within a category/Procurement manager role ideally within manufacturing (preferably chemical).
We are looking for someone who is dynamic, confident and has the ability to articulate clearly when analysing and interpreting data. In addition you must have excellent excel and analytical skills. You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills including persuasion and influencing, business case development and presentation experience.
Our ideal candidate will have an excellent track record delivering Productivity savings through managing high value and complex Supply chains and commercial negotiations. Experience of advising and leading on bid evaluations and supplier selection.
CIPS qualified or equivalent degree is essential.
