Facilities Manager

We’re now looking for a Facilities Manager to lead the strategy and delivery of facilities management across our Hillhouse site, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations.
About the role
As Facilities Manager, you will take ownership of the integrity and performance of site infrastructure, from long-term strategy through to day-to-day operations. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with safety, health and environmental standards whilst driving efficiency, reliability and cost-effective delivery.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will lead facilities management activities that support multiple value streams across a complex manufacturing site.
What you’ll be doing
Developing and leading the facilities management strategy aligned to site and business goals
Managing preventative and corrective maintenance of site infrastructure, buildings and other key assets such as FLT's, Lifting Equipment, Security and Fire systems etc using internal and external sub-contractors to deliver maintenance and ad hoc works safely, efficiently, minimising asset downtime and ensuring legal compliance.
Managing a wide range of contractor and supplier relationships, ensuring high standards of safety, cost and service delivery
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency and cost performance
Monitoring performance through KPIs and leading actions to improve outcomes across the site
Exploring and implementing new technologies and industry developments to improve facility performance and reduce maintenance costs
This role has a broad impact across our site, supporting operations including manufacturing, laboratories, warehousing and office environments.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for a proactive and commercially aware facilities leader who can operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You’ll ideally have:
Strong experience in facilities management, ideally within a chemical or manufacturing environment
A solid understanding of health, safety and regulatory requirements (e.g. LOLER, FGAS, Legionella, fire systems)
Proven leadership capability, with experience managing teams, contractors and cross-functional stakeholders
Experience in budgeting, planning and supplier management
Technical knowledge of building services (HVAC, plumbing, fire systems, security and general building works)
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
Good IT proficiency, including experience with ERP systems
Qualifications
ONC/HNC in a relevant discipline (essential)
Facilities Management degree or equivalent (desirable)
