Instrument Technician
Join our Maintenance Team at Hillhouse as an Instrument Technician, helping to keep our production assets running safely, efficiently and reliably.

We are looking for an Instrument Technician to work as part of the Maintenance Team providing expertise across all of the production assets at Hillhouse to ensure operations can meet the required SHE, Production and Quality targets.

The role focuses on pro-active preventative maintenance and systematic and robust testing of functional safety circuits, effective corrective maintenance problem solving to prevent unplanned equipment downtime, identify and eliminate equipment faults and where possible identify and implementing improvements that will eliminate potential hazards and future production downtime.
Your experience
We are looking for an experienced Instrument Technician, with a detailed knowledge of a process measurement systems including, Pressure, Temperature, Level, Weight, Flow, Speed and analytical instruments. The successful candidate will have a detailed knowledge carrying out routine maintenance, calibration, loop checking, functional testing and commissioning of analogue, digital and SIL rated instrumentation and associated control systems.
You will have a sound working knowledge of ATEX regulations, working in hazardous areas and a high level of SHE awareness, a relevant HNC or equivalent, and have completed an Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ or have equivalent experience. The role requires effective communication and team working skills, robust problem solving and fault-finding capability with a high level of attention to detail. Having a working knowledge of electrical systems and an understanding of Fieldbus communications systems would be beneficial.
