Head of Business Development

Role Purpose:
The Regional Head of Business Development is responsible for leading and managing the business development team and activities within a designated region. This role focuses on developing and implementing the regional execution plan to ensure the seamless delivery of Industry strategies into the region and new business growth. The Regional Head of Business Development will directly collaborate with the Global Business Development Team and the Industry Leaders. This position is critical for achieving opportunity generation, pipeline delivery, and developing the end-market.
Principal Accountabilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement comprehensive Business Development strategies to meet regional business objectives in terms of Pipeline growth/delivery and Key Account Management.
Analyze Regional market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to drive strategic decisions.
Team Leadership and Management
Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing Business Development team.
Deploy, manage and coach the Sales Team towards optimum organisational and Sales effectiveness through the setting of clear individual performance expectations.
Pipeline Management
Accountable for the Regional Pipeline growth and delivery.
Develop new customer/business acquisition strategies in collaboration with Industry and Marketing team to identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
Drive proactive lead generation and efficient lead follow-up/conversion discipline.

Determe future demand by product for the New Business Opportunities through monthly Pre-demand review (PDR) and Demand Review (DR) to establish clarity around unconstrained demand forecast for a rolling 24- month period
Customer Relationship Management
Drive Market and Key Specifiers penetration to identify decision-makers and build business development relationships at key Industry players (OEM, Tiers,…).
Ensure high levels of customer engagement through an accurate relationship and project(s) management.
Address client needs and identify/deliver solutions through the appropriate product/business model.
Gather and utilize customer feedback to improve products, services, and processes.
Sales Operations and Reporting
Monitor and analyze Pipeline performance metrics to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
Ensure CRM/D365 standards are being met.
Ensuring the Regional Sales Team operates in full compliance with company policies and SHE/Regulatory requirements and within functional budget.
Collaboration and Coordination
Work closely with other regional heads of Business Development, the Global Business Development Team and the global sales director to align sales strategies and goals – Especially for Specifiers/Targets which will generate the revenue outside of own Region.
Coordinate with the product development, marketing, and Industry teams to ensure cohesive operations.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
