Quality Assurance Officer

More about the role
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will serve as the quality lead on project teams, ensuring compliance for relevant products throughout their full lifecycle. You will approve product batch releases from a quality perspective and define, manage, and implement plans to achieve quality assurance compliance for products and processes. Additionally, you will manage customer complaints, implement corrective and prevent reoccurrence actions, and conduct root cause investigations using established industry-standard methodologies. In addition, you will act as the primary quality assurance support for the assigned manufacturing plant or area, promoting operational excellence and adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will plan, execute, and report on validation activities both internally and in collaboration with suppliers and customers. You will also define and manage testing activities for products against relevant international standards and make recommendations for appropriate actions.
The role also involves participating in and supporting all audits, as well as liaising with internal and external customers or third parties to ensure quality assurance compliance.
Your experience
- Our ideal candidate will have experience working in a highly regulated industry, ideally manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace.
- You must have experience with Quality Management Systems and auditing to a minimum standard of ISO 9001.
- Preferably, you should have Quality Assurance and auditing experience with systems compliant to AS/EN9100 or IATF16949.
- You must hold a degree in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline or possess equivalent experience in a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, proficient computer skills, and excellent communication skills are essential.
