Business Development Manager – Aerospace (France)

Victrex is seeking a talented and driven Business Development Manager to join our Sustainable Solutions team, specialising in the Aerospace Sector. This is your opportunity to work with a global leader in high-performance materials, using your deep technical expertise in engineering plastics and composites to solve complex application challenges.
You’ll be at the forefront of innovation, building strategic partnerships with OEMs, Tier 1s, and Specifiers, and driving commercial success across diverse market segments. This role requires a confident communicator who thrives in face-to-face customer engagements and is passionate about shaping the future of aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Development: Build deep customer insight and nurture a pipeline of new opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Influence decision-makers at all levels to create long-term partnerships.
- Lead Management: Convert leads into revenue with advanced technical and regulatory support.
- Customer Insight: Identify and solve both defined and undefined customer needs.
- Market Assessment: Support strategic market assessments and deliver compelling Victrex solutions.
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate pipeline activity for business decision-making.
- Negotiation: Lead or support NDA, LOI, JDA, and sales agreement discussions.
- Collaboration: Partner with Sales and Key Account Managers to ensure successful commercialisation.
- Forecasting: Provide reliable sales forecasts and planning input.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in B2B sales and project management within the aerospace sector.
- Strong technical background in polymer technology, engineering plastics, and composites.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to influence at all organisational levels, including C-suite.
- Consultative sales approach (IMPACT or similar desirable).
- Technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to attend regular face-to-face customer visits.
- Fluent in French and English Languages is essential.
