Role Summary
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Invibio, you will be contributing to our mission of improving patient outcomes through the deployment of ground breaking solutions. As an Injection Moulding Manufacturing Engineer at Invibio, you will play a pivotal role in new product industrialisation and validation. You will lead in developing, evaluating, and improving our manufacturing methods and processes. Utilising your expertise in both traditional and cutting-edge engineering technologies, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our production operations are optimized for efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative manufacturing processes and systems, focusing on patient welfare, product quality, and cost-efficiencies.
- Collaborate with product development teams to integrate new products or changes seamlessly into the manufacturing process.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize efficiency within the production environment.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop effective solutions.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging feedback and performance metrics to enhance process capabilities.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the medical devices or high-performance materials sector.
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in injection moulding, toolmaking or other relevant field.
- Completed a HNC, HND or other equivalent vocational or higher qualification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, capable of working effectively across different departments.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- A commitment to quality and a thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations.
