Quality Engineer – Metrology & Validation
Bristol, Rhode Island
Ready to make an impact from day one?
We’re looking for an experienced Quality Engineer – Metrology & Validation to join our TxV Aerospace Composites team in Bristol, RI.
This isn’t a desk-only quality role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being close to the product and the manufacturing process, someone who can come in, get hands-on and quickly become our go-to person for CMM, dimensional inspection, GD&T and validation.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll take ownership of the metrology and validation activities that help us get products and processes right first time.
That includes:
• Programming and working with CMM and dimensional inspection equipment
• Developing inspection methods and measurement plans
• Interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T
• Supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 requirements
• Leading MSA and Gauge R&R activities
• Supporting validation, qualification and manufacturing readiness
• Contributing to APQP, PPAP and NPI activities
• Using measurement data to troubleshoot issues and drive root cause and corrective action
• Working side-by-side with our Engineering and Operations teams to solve problems and improve processes
What we’re looking for:
We need someone who already knows their way around a manufacturing quality environment and is comfortable taking ownership from the start.
You’ll ideally bring:
• Strong hands-on CMM programming and dimensional inspection experience
• A solid working knowledge of GD&T
• Experience in manufacturing quality, metrology or validation
• Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001
• Familiarity with tools such as FAI, MSA, APQP, PPAP, SPC and FMEA
• A practical approach to problem-solving and the confidence to work across Quality, Engineering and Operations
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who likes solving real manufacturing problems. Someone who can look at the data, understand what it’s telling us and work with the team to get to the right answer.
If you’re a hands-on quality or metrology professional looking for a role where you can make your mark from day one, we’d love to hear from you.
