Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Role Purpose:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the site’s assets and equipment, adhering to safety and quality standards to maximize asset life and availability. You’ll be at the forefront of minimising unplanned breakdowns and ensuring seamless production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Actively contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and escalating unresolved concerns.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance routines to minimise equipment failure and avoid production downtime.
- Corrective Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair equipment as soon as possible to minimise disruption.
- Problem-Solving: Lead or support root cause analysis on unplanned outages and implement effective solutions.
- Documentation: Keep all maintenance records and management systems updated with timely and accurate data entry.
- Communication: Provide clear, prompt updates to your team and management on ongoing tasks.
- Project Support: Assist with plant improvement projects to ensure safe, efficient implementation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement across the plant.
What We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrable experience working on COMAH and PPC regulated industrial plants to high safety and quality standards.
- Solid expertise in mechanical disciplines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively plan maintenance tasks.
